Playing an instrument and/or singing is a great way to RECHARGE your batteries when your energy is low. It also gives you the chance to start a new hobby. It's important to have activities that you can practice over time. Don't be afraid to show off when you've mastered something new!

Find your inner rock star - grab an instrument or sing your heart out! Ask some friends or your siblings to join you if you feel like chilling with some of your favorite people.

Smile and say, "Hi!" Make someone's day a little bit brighter! It's National Smile Month, so challenge yourself to do this every single day.

A great way to boost your energy is to boost someone's mood! As a family, turn on your favorite music and get moving after dinner tonight. Use this time to find out about everyone's favorite types of music. You might discover a new genre to listen to!

Wednesday, May 22

Say cheeeese! Since it's National Photo Month, snap a few smiling pics while doing some of your favorite relaxing activities. 

Spending time doodling, writing, crafting, or creating any art that is special to you will give you a sense of accomplishment and relax your mind and body! Talk to your friends and family. What are their favorite ways to RECHARGE? Try something new to RECHARGE. You can never have too many options! 

Photo Bomb
Put on your favorite tunes and take pictures of your favorite relaxing activities. What is your bedtime routine? Document the ways you prep to get 9-12 hours of sleep each night! Selfies, props, or your relaxation station are all ideas for your photo shoot. 




Thursday, May 23

Meditation Month means taking some time to RECHARGE each day. Sit and breathe for 5 minutes each morning before going to school! 

Try this! Slowly breathe in through your nose as if smelling a flower; breathe out through your mouth as if slowly inflating a balloon. Repeat this 5 times.
Regular relaxation helps relax muscles and calm the nervous system, boost your immune system, and improve sleep! It is great for your MOOD, helps your concentration at school, and increases creativity! 

Meditation Station
Before or after school, find a quiet space and take a few minutes to breathe deeply.  Be mindful of what choices you will make or have made today. Create a calming playlist that you can have ready to go when you want to meditate!

Download some jazz music this weekend and see if you can jive along with it!

Listen to some music as you hang in your room or go for a walk. Relaxing activities like this helps calm your mind and boost your energy and mood. Add music while you do chores. You'll be surprised how music can motivate your MOOD and turn something like chores into a relaxing activity!
